History

1971 – Tokyo Rectifier Co., Ltd. established in Arima, Takatsu-ku, Kawasaki City.
 Capital: 1 million yen.
 Commenced design and manufacturing of industrial battery chargers.

1974 – Entered into a business alliance with Honda Electric Co., Ltd.
 Relocated to the current site due to increased sales.
 (Factory site: approx. 330 m²; Building: 165 m²)

1979 – Formed a capital alliance with Honda Electric Co., Ltd.
 Increased the capital to 2 million yen.

1980 – Expanded factory to approximately 330 m² (about 3,560 ft²).

1992 – Increased the capital to 10 million yen.
 Introduced CAD to improve design efficiency.

1993 – Expanded the factory (First and Second Plants: 180 tsubo / approx. 595 m²).

1998 – Entered into business alliances with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. and Nippon Sharyo, Ltd.

2005 – Entered into a business alliance with Iwasaki Electric Co., Ltd.

2008 – Acquired Patent No. 4499164 for a charging device and charging method, among others.

2013 – Selected for the Kawasaki Environmental Showcase Model Project 2012.
 [DC-powered LED lighting system with dimming function]
 Certified as a Kawasaki Manufacturing Brand.

2014 – Formed a business alliance with Kowa Co., Ltd. and launched sales of the TNPL series.
 Supplied equipment to “Michi-no-Eki Shichinohe” (Aomori Prefecture),
 a Priority Roadside Station Candidate designated by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT).

2020 – Selected for a subsidy project by the Ministry of the Environment, Japan.

2021 – Selected for a NEDO project; certified as a Zero Emission Challenge Company by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI).
